Aerostat® XC 2 High-Output Ionizing Blower
The Aerostat XC 2 is a next-generation ionizing blower designed to provide superior static neutralization for large-scale electronics manufacturing and cleanroom environments. Building on the legacy of the original Aerostat XC, the XC 2 offers extended coverage with discharge times of less than 12 seconds at a distance of 6 feet—making it one of the most powerful and versatile benchtop ionizers available.
Advanced Static Control
The Aerostat XC 2 Blower utilizes Simco-Ion’s patented technology to ensure a stable, self-balancing flow of ionized air. This minimizes the risk of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) for sensitive components, even when positioned at the far edges of a workstation.
Key Features
-
Rapid Neutralization: Optimized airflow delivers fast discharge times (under 12 seconds) across a wide 6-foot area.
-
FMS Integration: Fully compatible with Simco-Ion’s Facility Monitoring System (FMS), allowing for real-time data logging and remote monitoring of ionization status.
-
Customizable Performance: Available with optional integrated heaters for operator comfort and audible alarms to immediately signal ionization failure or maintenance needs.
-
MicroPulse Technology: Features an advanced pulse rate that reduces ion recombination, ensuring more ions reach the target surface for higher efficiency.
-
Simplified Maintenance: Easy-to-access emitter points and built-in cleaning brushes ensure the unit maintains peak performance with minimal manual intervention.
Smart Connectivity
Unlike standard blowers, the Aerostat XC 2 is designed for the modern “Smart Factory.” Its ability to communicate with facility management software ensures that your ESD protection is always active and within calibration, reducing the risk of latent component damage.
Versatile Application
Whether used for medical device assembly, semiconductor testing, or general electronics manufacturing, the XC 2’s large coverage area means one unit can often protect an entire standard workbench, reducing the total equipment footprint and power consumption in your facility.
Note: This unit is available in several configurations, including Stand Alone, Alarm-only, Heater-only, or a combined Heater/Alarm build to suit your specific environmental requirements.

Technical Note: For applications requiring a tighter ion balance or localized precision, we recommend pairing the Aerostat® XC 2 Blower with a continuous monitor to ensure real-time compliance within your ESD Protected Area (EPA).
Micropulse Technology: The Aerostat XC2 utilizes MicroPulse technology applied to an emitter system for optimal performance. MicroPulse technology reduces ion recombination at the emitter, thus increasing production efficiency and performance. Using this breakthrough technology, the Aerostat XC2 maintains long-term peak performance and balance stability for extended periods between cleanings.
Maintenance: The only maintenance required for the Aerostat XC2 is periodic cleaning of the emitter points using the easy, built-in push button. The cleaning mechanism slides over the emitter points, removing any debris and ensuring balanced, continuous ion output.
