Ground Your Static, Not Your Productivity.

Standing on hard floors all day isn’t just tiring—it’s a drain on focus. The 5700 Series Anti Static Mat solves the two biggest problems in your electronics assembly area: electrostatic discharge and worker fatigue.

With a 9/16″ foam-cushioned core and a conductive surface, this mat creates a safe path to ground while providing the ergonomic support your team needs to stay sharp.

  • Dual Protection: Conductive ESD-safe material prevents static buildup.

  • Anti-Fatigue Comfort: 9/16” foam cushioning reduces stress on the back, legs, and feet.

  • Safety Focused: Beveled edges minimize trip hazards in busy workspaces.

  • Custom Fit: Available in custom sizes up to 9ft wide and 75ft long to fit any production line.

Technical Performance

  • Static Dissipation: Features a specialized vinyl surface that provides a Resistance-to-Ground (RTG) of 2 x 103 to 2 x 106, ensuring a rapid, controlled path to ground.

  • ESD Rating: Fully compliant with EOS/ESD S7.1 standards (1 x 103 to 1 x 106), making it suitable for sensitive electronic assembly and testing areas.

  • Durability: Tested for high-traffic longevity with a Tabor Abrasion loss of only 1% after 10,000 cycles.

Physical Construction

  • Composition: A dual-layer design featuring a rugged Vinyl Surface fused to a high-density Nitricell Sponge Base.

  • Ergonomic Profile: The 9/16″ thickness provides superior compression (.415 inches at 35 PSI ), offering significant relief for operators standing for extended periods.

  • Safety & Compliance: Rated Class A for flammability per MVSS 302 and maintains a high Coefficient of Friction (.68 Dry) to prevent slips.

  • Environmental Tolerance: Stable performance across a temperature range of -10°F to 130°F.

Available Configurations

Standard widths typically start at 3ft, with lengths ranging from individual workstations to full-length runners:

  • Pre-Cut Sizes: 2′ x 3′, 3′ x 5′, and 3′ x 10′.

  • Bulk Rolls: Available in lengths up to 100′ for seamless floor coverage.

Note: To maintain the integrity of the ESD path, it is recommended to clean the surface only with ESD-safe cleaners that do not leave an insulative residue.

Grounding System

To maximize the effectiveness of your 5700 Series Anti Static Mat, it is essential to use a dedicated grounding system. For most applications, we recommend the Grounding Cables specifically designed to snap directly into the mat’s hardware.

Compatible Grounding Hardware

Component Function Compatibility
15′ Grounding Cable Provides a path from the mat to the building’s electrical ground via a #10 ring terminal. Primary Connection (Standard for 5700 Series)
10mm (3/8″) Snap Kit The male stud installed on the mat surface that the grounding cable securely clicks onto. Factory-installed or field-installable for custom lengths.
Common Point Ground Allows both the mat and a user’s wrist strap to share a single ground connection point. Recommended for workstations with active operators.
1 Meg Ohm Resistor An internal safety feature built into our cables to prevent hazardous current flow to the user. Standard in all Bennett & Bennett floor grounding cables.

Installation Basics

  1. Placement: Ensure the mat is laid flat in a dry area. For best results, allow the mat to acclimate to room temperature for 8 hours before securing hardware.

  2. Snap Connection: Press the female end of the Grounding Cable onto the 10mm snap located on the mat.

  3. Terminal Connection: Attach the #10 ring terminal at the other end of the cable to a tested electrical outlet’s center screw or a dedicated grounding bus bar.

  4. Testing: Use an ESD surface resistance meter to verify that the Resistance-to-Ground (RTG) falls within the 2 x 103 to 2 x 106 ohms range.

Safety Warning: Never “daisy chain” mats (connecting one mat to another). Each individual mat or runner should have its own direct connection to ground to ensure consistent performance and safety.

Precision-Cut Custom Solutions

Standard sizes don’t always fit the unique footprint of a modern production line. We provide custom-tailored 5700 Series Mats cut to your exact specifications to ensure edge-to-edge protection.

  • Extra-Wide Coverage: While industry standards stop at 3ft or 4ft, we can provide seamless custom widths up to 9ft wide.

  • Complex Geometries: We can provide precision die-cutting for unique workstation cutouts, L-shaped configurations, or notches around heavy machinery.

  • Safety Borders: All custom-cut mats include factory-applied beveled safety edges on all sides to eliminate trip hazards, regardless of the shape.

  • High-Volume Runners: For long assembly lines, we offer continuous runs up to 100ft to minimize seams and simplify grounding.

How to Order

Because custom configurations require specific dimensions and grounding point placements, we provide personalized quotes to ensure accuracy.

  1. Measure Your Space: Identify the total length, width, and any necessary cutouts.

  2. Define Grounding Points: Let us know where your electrical outlets are located so we can pre-install snaps in the most efficient locations.

  3. Request a Quote: Use our Request for Quote form or contact our technical team directly.

Did You Know? Improperly cut mats can lead to frayed edges that trap contaminants. Our factory-finished edges maintain the physical and ESD integrity of the mat for its entire lifespan.
